That is a good question and thanks for asking. The answer mostly depends on the type of breast surgery you are considering. However with all breast surgery be it a simple biopsy to large breast surgery such as a breast reduction, the ability to breast feed is never guaranteed. Breast surgeries that do not involve direct manipulation of the breast tissue with removal and rearrangement would carry the greatest risk of the inability to breastfeed. A procedure such as a breast lift with no implants and simply tightening the skin would carry the least risk. But the risk would still be there.
