It appears you are referring to a facelift procedure. There are many causes for keloid scars including, how the scar was happened, its location and orientation, ethnicity,the healing process and genetics, and having a keloid in one part of the body does not necessarily put one at risk for a keloid in other areas of the body. However, the risk is clearly there, and a frank discussion is needed with your surgeon to determine if the benefit of surgery is worth the risk of an unfavorable scar.
