Hi,
I had arm liposuction 7 wks. ago. The results, swelling (edema), lumps, thick scar tissue, wrinkled skin and soreness. I’ve started physical therapy now and the licenced PT is using ultrasound massage therapy as well as deep manual massaging on the arms. The surgeon who performed the liposuction said it will take time and he’s confident that the skin will retract more. I’m miserable right now as my arms looks worse than before I had the lipo and they look the same size as before the procedure. What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you for asking about your arm liposuction healing. Liposuction truly causes irregular swelling. It takes time – at least six months – to see your final result. Only then, at the earliest, is it possible to see if the result is good, acceptable or needs something done. In the meantime, a gentle skin tightening laser may help. Best wishes.
