I recently had upper and lower eyelid surgery. The upper lids were covered by insurance but the lower lids were considered cosmetic so I had to pay for those. It wasn’t too expensive. Now I would like to have a neck lift. Can this be done without an entire face lift? What is the cost for this.

Maxine: There are several ways to approach a sagging neck..There is a minimally invasive Laser Liposuction of the neck that has had some remarkable results, as well as a “lower faceliftt” also known a neck lift that will provide a more dramatic result.. You have to consult with a Board Certiified Plastic Surgeon to determine winch procedure will work best for you, with his capabilities

The short answer is yes, a neck lift can be done without it being a full face and neck lift. The appropriate question, though, is whether it is right for you. That is why a consultation is so very important. It is only then that the surgeon can examine you and determine if a neck lift only would work — and then he should explain all the pros and cons. Sometimes some minimally invasive techniques can work — but they do have limitations.
Suggest you visit at least two or more plastic surgeons in order to gain different insights into your situation.

    Best of luck!

A face and neck lift are generally combined simply because the access a facelift incision provides can be helpful when doing a neck lift. Doing both procedures together prevents a disharmonious appearance between the neck and face. Cost in our clinic for a face and neck lift is about $8k.

A neck lift can definitely be done without an entire facelift, but usually these procedures go hand in hand to provide balance and rejuvenation to you entire face, particularly since the incisions are similar for both a neck lift and a facelift. In any case, these procedures range from 8-12k depending on the particular procedures that you need.

You can have a neck lift — but you need to be seen so that I know what you need. There are minimally invasive procedures all they way up to a full face lift. This will not be covered by insurance, but the consultation is free.

Yes the necklift can be done alone but it is genearlly not recommended because the necklift alone is not a very powerful technique. It can be done, but I recommend doing the lower face because it will last 6-8 years longer and you will be more satisfied with the results. It is the hardest thing to explain but the shape and anatomy of the face and neck are much easier and more powerful to pull up and back when doing the lower face than to just pull back behind the ears for the neck. Usually cost for neck lift along ranges 5-7k and with the face $8-12k.
