Hundreds of women responded, and we’ve got their top three picks in each category. Now it’s a run-off: the Number 1 winner in each group is up to you. Vote now!

The Clarisonic skin care system is my favorite. I purchased one of these about 5 years ago – think it had just come out – and I absolutely LOVE it. It’s made my ‘need’ for make-up just about non-existent. No more foundation, at least. Blush, minimal eye make-up, and lip color/gloss. End of story. My skin is much more clear and smooth than it’s ever been in my life. I LOVE these drawings!

You know I did find something fabulous and high tech for FOF’s especially but just this year. It is… (drum roll)… Bluetooth equipped hearing aids. Expensive, but so very awesome. I take my Vitamin D daily now, take a long walk when my pain allows, and love to read something everyday. As for the perfume, I’m a Chanel 5 diehard, also love Tabu and something called Woman by Jovan.
The King’s Speech was my kind of movie, not so much Avatar or Social Network, although they were ok.

Since I’m gluten intolerant quinoa comes in handy. I love Soft Surroundings and have been purchasing clothes that feel good and fit wonderfully. While Chanel No. 5 is for those who enjoy a sultry scent, I prefer Clinique Happy with its citrusy scent. When exercising I get on the treadmill and walk for 35 minutes at level 3 or 4 at 3.3 speed. I have loved reading and find while all of the books mentioned are good, the Girl with the Dragon Tatoo is quite different. Movies are another way to escape and heard so many wonderful things about King’s Speech that I need to see it. Fab 50 is quite enlightening and love all the little gadgets, fashions etc. So living life after 50 is far more interesting then it was in my 20s. Thanks Fab 50.

Intersting set of items to vote on. I am with the masses on many of my votes and a few way, way off 🙂 The book selection was a bit iffy. I couldn’t even finish The Help. A rare experience for me since I love to read. This had such rave reviews. Didn’t agree at all. (If you haven’t read Winter Garden and Night Road go to the library or bookstore. Good reads). Fab / 50 enjoy you. Can you take a look at your web site? Seems to me your pages load so very slowly. Worth the wait though 🙂

I’m not surprised by the choices in the poll…and I did cast my votes, but there are some choices in the poll that boggle the mind!? E.g., Although I love Fab/50, the STILL most popular website/search engine is Amazon and Facebook (although I can barely stand Facebook), but I’m not blind and I’m certainly not going to “kiss tuchas” just to win something. Also, the 3 books are ridiculous…the Bible?—there must be a lot of fundamentalists looking at FOF and in a nationwide survey a couple of years ago, ATLAS SHRUGGED and THE FOUNTAINHEAD way outpolled the Bible…and then just a very good mystery thriller written by a late Marxist/Socialist (don’t you people even analyze this stuff correctly? How many of you women have businesses of your own, or spouses or children who are businessmen and women–Larsson trashes business in total; and then that moronic book “The Help” written by a crypto-guilt-ridden ultra liberal who is in reality and nasty little racist who has a superior attitude hidden within her words—analyze your books better, sisters—read more critically!!! And although I loved “The King’s Speech” for the STORY ALONE, I never looked at it as HISTORY!!! In truth, if it weren’t for Churchill, both the King and his brother would have made friends with Hitler. The Windsor family was never known for their superior intellect or good judgment. The history of the movie is bunk. As for “The Social Network”, how would any of you women out there feel if it was your son and/or daughter who was eviscerated by the nasty writer and director who totally misrepresented your child’s life? The perfumes, clothes, foods, exercises are not objective—they’re PERSONAL choices, so there’s no accounting for taste, etc. And I’m guilty of that, too. But look at the objective items and think very carefully — books are not necessarily objective because one can really criticize and analyze them. So those are my comments—as FOF asked for them.

It’s funny, when I was looking at all those wonderful choices, I mentally went there-using the products, doing the exercises, going to the sites, shopping, remembering the movies, etc… which is a good thing!

Oh I just love Chanel No 5 it always smells delicious and on almost everyone. I love walking because I have a tendency to twist myself like a pretzel with yoga. I do have an idea for a sweepstakes though. I think that it would be great to win sessions with a trainer at a 24 hour fitness gym. It might get one of us motivated to lose the other unwanted pounds and another fab fifty body will show up those 20 year old bodies. lol Just a thought !
