She suddenly starts calling you her BEST FRIEND without even
    Wanting to know your opinion!
And if she calls you just to find out where you are- for no good reason or
To ask you to meet her – then she doesnt show- & this happens more
Than once… You better start checkin- cause something is NOT RIGHT
    – shes probably meeting your man somewhere & keeping tabs on your
    Location
She offers to HELP YOU clean your house- ( she knows how buzy you are)
Unless you have know her a LONG TIME – dont fall for thaf

I had a friend who I thought was my biggest confidante. Turns out her definition of friendship was, “My enemies are your enemies, but your enemies are still my friends.” She liked to play both sides. My definition of a true friend is “Right or wrong I stand by you.”

You don’t share enough interests or passions. Sharing films, art exhibits, fashion, food, trips about town, and TV shows make the friendship roots grow, so interests shared are key.
Also, if the friend is a Debby Downer leaving you feeling low after time spent together.
True friends are hard to find and I personally think we need to widen our circle of friends whenever we can.

You let her vent. She has to go when you need to vent.
I am very lucky that I have a best friend, more so a soul sister. We have been so close for almost 40 years.

My “true” friend was incredible as she used me to help her bag my former husband (I was happy for them). After the engagement, I was history, and all she did was gossip and malign me…even to my own kids! I never did betray her confidences, and they weren’t pretty.

I finally dumped a “friend” after 30+ years. 6 of the 8 on the list were things she did constantly. I’d also add 1) She frequently tells you how tired or bad you look and 2) She brings up a flaw in your accomplishment/outfit/etc in front of others immediately after someone has complimented you. I don’t know why it took me so long to get her out of my life.

She always tells you how you could be better than you are (i.e. Thinner, more organized, more thrifty) but never compliments you on your successes and even dismisses them as frivolous.
