{Street-Spotted} Yael Nadiv

“My clothes are a backdrop for my jewelry,” says FOF Yael Nadiv. We spotted Yael sightseeing in New York with her friend, Régine Illi (from last week’s Street Spotted). She had just finished showcasing her own jewelry designs at a trunk show at Henri Bendel. “It was a success, but I’d still like to see my jewelry sold in more stores!”

Name: Yael Nadiv

Age: Over 50

What do you do? I’m a jewelry designer. I have my own company, Onyx.

Where are you from? Originally from Israel, but now I live in Zurich.

How long have you been friends with Regine? Just a few years. We met when I brought my jewelry to sell in her museum shop. She is the shop manager at the Rietberg Museum.

The jewelry looks great on both of you, but you two have very different styles… Yes, she’s more eccentric. I’m very plain…very classic. Little detail, good quality. I usually wear a white t-shirt and jeans, you know.

Who are your favorite designers? Bottega Veneta, Donna Karan and Dries Van Noten

On Yael:
Jewelry – handmade from her jewelry company, Onyx
Dress– “I don’t remember. It’s like 100 years old. I don’t take much when I travel. I just take a dress and then you don’t need anything else.”
Bag– Made in Italy
Shoes– from Switzerland, and made in Italy.

Hello, I trying to coifugnre sizes of tags. Want to make little bit smaller, but it didn’t work. What is the purpose of magnifying setting, result it is the same set to 0.1 or 1. I understand differences between letters point sizes. Smallest want to be 12 p and biggest 18 p, but it seems to be too big differences between for ex. 1 and 2 or 3 times marked tags. Hope I began understand this size configuration!

Love her whole look from her head down until I get to the shoes–they’re too bare so they don’t balance with the rest of the picture.

Altho, the clothes and jewelry made the woman look beautiful on the outside, it is what is on the inside that makes a woman. Her inner beauty and heartful soul and spirit are what shines the most and reveals what she is made of, especially her trustworthiness and honest.

Yael Nadiv sure makes impressive jewelry. I’m interested in her intricate bracelet. It is just gorgeous. I can imagine wearing in on my wrist to work or special occasion events. I’m sure I would be a great advertiser of her jewerly because I wear my jewelry well.

I love both Yael’s post and also Regine’s post. It’s so wonderful to see two completely different styles that each feature Yael’s jewelry. It really works in both wardrobes.
