Treasure…I’d wear it. But then, all my friends have always known that I’m a “crazy cat lady” and they accept me as I am. I’m not a ‘lemming’ who follows the ‘latest style.’ I’m a unique individual (and a typical Scorpio maverick) who prefers to think for myself and don’t care what strangers or other people who don’t mean anything to me think.

If you are doing the gramma look, as so many of my local contempories choose to do, starting in their 40s, then it’s a treasure. The grandkids would love it. If you prefer to keep an air of mystery about your particular station in life, regardless of “age”, then it’s trash. I could also see women of my mother’s generation (Greatest Generation) wearing this as well and looking adorable. Betsy Johnson could rock this, as a middle-aged “creative” type, but Meryl Streep could not.
It shouldn’t even be a question. Ironically, it seems that current designers (I’m thinking of Marc Jacobs in reference to this particular piece) would come up with a design like this and charge a pretty penny for it. BTW, what era and “designer” does this piece de resistance come from?

Halloween and then trash.

Campy! It could be fun. When fun is appropriate. It would take one heckuva presence to carry it off though.
Becky says:
It belongs to the crazy cat lady… she found it in the trash, thought it was treasure!
Ida K says:
To me would be trash, but it can have sentimental value…

The kitty looks exactly like my ‘Marty’ but I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing this out of the house. What a way to age yourself!!!!

It’s trash! No doubt about it!
