Dieting will lose pounds bodywide, if weight lose is needed. Strength training for the Triceps (over head extensions for the long-head) would be helpful. Quick repetitive arm motions can be firming for the quick twitch muscles. Hope this is helpful.

Changing diet will help if you need to lose weight bodywide, as you will lose the weight bodywide. Strength training for upper arms works beautifully (over head extensions for the Triceps long-head), and if you are still finding the upper arm slow to respond, quick tight repetitive motions with the arms will help the quick twitch muscles firm up.

The dimples could be cellulite, stretch marks or just dimples you were born with. If it is cellulite, a diet lower in sugar combined with additional strength training will take time but it will help. I had cellulite on my thighs a long time ago and with years of weight lifting it finally went away. Cellulite is produced by fat deposits pushing through weak muscle tissue. This creates the sort of “cottage cheese” look. The trick is to get rid of the fat and tighten (strengthen) the muscle. A diet that is made of whole unprocessed foods in a proportional balanced manner will reduce fat being stored. An increase in weight training with the help of a personal trainer will help to firm and tighten the muscles all over the body. If the dimples are the result of stretch marks, then you will have to consult a dermatologist. If the dimples are just what you were blessed with, either accept them, consult with a dermatologist or even a plastic surgeon. Hope this helps.

While you can’t change the quality of your skin with exercise, you can sculpt the muscles of your arms to improve the contours. The triceps in the back of the upper arm is a traditional trouble spot for women and here’s one exercise that’s guaranteed to get results!

Stand with your feet parallel, hip width apart, knees bent. Hold a 3# free weight in each hand, arms straight down by your sides, palms in. Bend forward from the hip, keeping your spine straight. Bend your elbows to 90 degrees and raise your upper arms so they are parallel to the floor.

Exhale and extend your forearms behind you so that your arms are straight but not stiff. Pause and squeeze the back of the upper arms. Inhale as you return to start and repeat 10 times.

Then, keep your arms straight and pulse up to the ceiling 10 times. Finally, with your arms straight, pulse in 10 times, moving the weights toward each other.

To progress, repeat all three moves again.

Make sure to drink lots of water to flush any toxins out of your system. I also massage the area in addition to using light weights (3-5 lbs) daily. Using the light weights I do bicep curls, and tricep kickbacks.
