Any of the Cole Haan “Air” shoes are exactly what you want! They have sexy and they have utilitarian but all are so comfortable that you feel you’re walking on air. I find Neiman’s has the best selection but so do many other stores that carry this brand. btw: Congratulations on your recovery! May you lead a very long and happy life!

Taryn Rose, is an orthopedist/shoe designer who has a wonderful comfortable line. Check Zappo’s and for a bargain, ebay. Cole Haan manufactures a dress shoe with Nike air technology. I have a pump from this brand…comfy. But don’t dismiss a jeweled flat sandal, mules or a kitten heel shoe.

I would first ask your budget and your specific wardrobe needs before I name brands . When you say “sexy” do you mean for everyday casual, work attire, or dressier events? “Sexy” is usually defined by high heels and they are rarely comfortable beyond 2 1/2 inches. But with the right outfit, ballerina shoes, and pointy- toed kitten1″ heels 1” (think Audrey Hepburn) are decidedly sexy too, and more generally comfortable. Platforms are also more comfortable and since they add length to the leg–add a “sexy” factor.
