Noreen Braman asks:
is there any way that C-Sections can be done to avoid the notorious "pouch" that many women develop, especially after multiple births? Many of us cannot afford a "tummy tuck" later in life!

Noreen, unfortunately the pouch is inevitable because the tissues are stretched beyond the limits of you elasticity during the pregnancy.
With C section, the goal is to get the baby out as quickly as possible and the incisions closed as quickly as possible. The gynecologist usually isn't
interested in a plastic surgeon being in there to do a type of tummy tuck
in that situation. A more conservative, and less expensive, approach is to wear an abdominal binder for 3-6 months in hopes that the tissues will regain some of their elasticity. Good luck.
