I am a 25 year old mother of 3. I currently weigh 195lbs and am 5′ 4.5″ tall. I’ve been trying to lose weight for the last 6 almost 7 years. I walk approximately 6-7 miles a night at work and don’t really have time to do much else during the day due to kids and sleep. I’ve been thinking of getting liposuction and possibly a breast reduction because I am a size 36 DDD which makes other exercise extremely painful and difficult. Any thoughts on this or the rough cost of what I may be looking at? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your questions. Breast reduction is one of the procedures that I find brings the greatest relief to women and it may or may not be covered by your insurance company. I recommend that you contact them to first be sure whether or not it is a covered benefit. Some companies will exclude breast reduction from the list of benefits. If it is covered, then your next step would be a consultation. At the same time any other issues or concerns can be discussed as well. If you can come to the Northern Virginia area, I would look forward to seeing you.

It is difficult to say what procedures may be the best option for you without an exam, but a Breast Reduction will address the size and shape of your breast. This is one of the highest patient satisfaction surgeries performed. Patients look and feel so much better! In some cases the breast reduction procedure could be covered by your insurance company. You can see before and after photos on my website for Liposuction, Tummy Tuck and Breast Reduction. The photos will give you a clearer understanding of what the different procedures can do for you! If you have any questions, or would like to schedule a consult, you can contact my office through the website.

Dear Page: The procedure that would give you the best results is Laser assisted liposuction of your abdomen and flanks. This procedure removes a substantial portion of the subcutaneous fat and also helps in shrinking the skin (underlying dermis) so that an abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) would not be necessary. This is, of course, providing you have good skin tone. This procedure can easily be performed with the reduction mammaplasty that would reduce the size of your breasts to a D or a C plus size. The above can be accomplished in our fully accredited outpatient Operating Surgicenter. Please be so kind and access our website for the full information and call us for a consultation so I can evaluate your condition and give you an accurate quote for the expenses and the result you are so desiring…Best regards and looking forward to meeting you in the near future…..Dr. C.L.Magassy
