23October   {Test This} Eye Caramba by DairyFace

Milk has been a prized beauty ingredient since ancient times--Cleopatra was rumored to indulge in milk baths as well as the Biblical figure, Bathsheba, who wooed King David when he spotted her bathing in dairy.

Now, DairyFace, an indie beauty brand has capitalized on this ancient beauty secret, just as the nationwide yogurt craze has reached critical mass.

The company’s “Eye Caramba” cream (retail value: $26.99 for two 2.5 oz. cups) will "moisten and tighten and brighten" the “sensitive area around the eyes,” and is “also beneficial for the whole face,” according to the company.

The cream, which comes in cute yogurt-sized cups, is formulated with high-fermented milk fat,  which “helps to break down and remove dead skin cells and...stimulate collagen production.”

A company rep recommends leaving it on for 5-20 minutes, 3-4 times per week, but says that most “see results after the first time.”

Best of all, they tout that the eye cream works on skin-types across the board--“normal, radiant, highly sensitive, dry, oily, combination or just plain undernourished.”

Holy cow! Is this the eye crème de la crème or...“udderly” ridiculous? 10 FOFs will test it. Leave a comment below for a chance to win.

(See all our past winners, here.) (See official rules, here.) Contest closes October 31, 2012 at midnight E.S.T. Contest limited to continental U.S. residents only.

I think my eye area is what tells my age. It’s where the bags are and the lines and creases show. If this works I be amazed. If I got to try it I’d be greatful.

I, too, am looking for another contract job–at 59 and in IT! My eyes may betray me and I need any advantage I can get in this market. I use a body cream with a milk product in it, so would love to try something for my eyes!
    Thanks!

This product sounds very interesting. I know yogurt is very good for ridding your stomach from bad bacteria. So it makes since that this product would have some of the same to help break down dead skin. Which should create a smoother and brighter look. I use probiotics everyday so why not on my face as well. I am closing in on 55 and fighting wrinkles around my eyes. I would love give this product a try.

My eyes were once my best feature, but years of chronic swelling due to severe seasonal allergies and fluid retention during peri-menopause, have left their mark. I have tried numerous eye creams over the years, but have had minimal to no improvement. I am very interested in trying this product, because I am a firm believer in natural ingredients versus chemical and the fact that milk fat is the active ingredient intrigues me. I also have sensitive, combination skin, and I would like to see improvement in that area as well.

I would love to try it. I don’t have big problems with my eyes. Yet. I’m 52 and would like to try this as “preventive medicine”. I always figure it’s easier to keep the wrinkles from coming, rather than trying to get rid of them after they’ve appeared.

I would love to test this product. It sounds extremely interesting. There is so much new technology being used in the cosmetic/cosmeceutical industry these days that it is difficult for the average lay person to keep up to date. We definitely need webpages and blogs to do the research for us and keep us current. I suppose that I should just be speaking for myself, but I hear this refrain continually from my friends.

i would love to test this as I have “dry eye syndrome” due to the fact that I take several medications which drys my eyes out, I have to wash my eyes underneath my lower lid and under my upper lid with warm water and a small amount of baby shampoo with a white, clean washcloth.
I also have closed chronic open angle glaucoma which often accompanies dry eye. I have to soak my eyes with a warm washcloth after i wash them. I do it three times a day. the skin under my eyes is very thin, and is very dry to due the fact that i have to use so much water on them. I use two dfferent eye drop medications to keep my eye pressure in check.
I also have thyroid disease and the enlarged thyroid will probably have to be removed as i am having trouble swallowing. Also, with thyroid disease a woman has extremely dry skin, along with temperature changes, trouble with regulating cholesterol levels and other bodily functions as the thyroid gland’s job is to regulate metabolism.
