FOF Kate Somerville is the founder of a beloved "medi-skin clinic" in Los Angeles, where estheticians and nurse practitioners help celebs such as Debra Messing and Annette Benning treat their skin woes with everything from facials to lasers. Kate has been dubbed “Hollywood’s Secret Weapon,” by the LA press, and her eponymous collection of skincare products and supplements has a cult following among the LaLa Land elite.

One such product is her just-released DermalQuench Liquid Lift (retail value: $95), made from a patent-pending formula including three key ingredients: PFC-Oxygen Carriers, which “increase volume and create a plumping effect” on the skin, Hyaluronic Acid, which provides hydration, and "rare botanical extracts" to increase overall radiance, according to the company. The product "aggressively combats the visible signs of aging: wrinkles, sagging skin, uneven tone, and dryness.”

Is this liquid lift--a downer? Or is it as effective as its manufacturers promise?

    I would love to be able to try this new product. I am a one year cancer survivor and the treatments put a lot of “wear and tear” on your body, especially your face. I look about 10 years old than I reallly am. Any product that could help diminish the wrinkles and give me a little lift would be great :-)

    I saw the before and after pictures and read the user reviews and it appears this product delivers.
    The Liquid Lift could provide a better appearing me and that could lift the spirit and provide confidence that, for some of us FOB’s, falls as we age. It would be great to feel I look as young as I feel at this summer’s weddings and events.

    I am 60 yr old and always receive comments that I do not look a day over 50…but always wonder if they mean it. Especially when I look in the mirror and see this deep line between my eyebrows.     OOO… I have been to Melrose Place (L.A.) where Kate’s supercool salon is located. She is definitely Hollywood’s facialist to the strars…. I would love to give this a whirl, because my makeup artist friend just sent me some Kate Tan Towels and they are a great self-tan product, so I’m sure this is a good product as well.

    I will be 70 this year. I do have some wrinkles but not too bad. Most people do not think I look as old as I am but they could just be being kind to me.     I was horrified when I looked into a mirror one day and asked myself: Who IS this old lady? My skin is so dry, no matter what I try I can’t get moisture into it.

    Oh! I’m so excited this! I hope it not only works but smells ..tolerable at the very least. I’ve tried so many creams with such promise and a lot of them even give results but they smell so horrible I can’t bare to use them for any length of time.     I would love to test this product. As having had very oily prone skin for most of my life, I now find myself, bordering on dry. I am an avid sun worshiper and even tanning beds…

    In addition, my undereyes are becoming more ” crepey” despite using many products over the years.

    In the midst of menopause which is playing its own havoc on my body.. I would be an ideal candidate to test this product.

    I try everything new on the market to improve my skin. I am still looking for a product that makes my skin look brighter and more youthful. I am 60 years old and know that nothing will make me look 30 again, but looking 50 would make me very happy.

    The lines start at the area between the brows and are deepest there. Around the mouth is one line on either side, and other areas are dry and need help from now on. To product test and be able to talk about it, would also make me want to try it more.

    I tested this product and was surprised. The forehead lines were deminished and saging was helped as well. The downside was the instrucions for use did not fit the product. The box showed a creme and it is actually a liquid that runs down the face. The pictures show the eye and yet the instructions state not to use it neat the eyes. Not really sure that it is worth the price.

    I LOVE IT!!!! The first day my face felt like a new baby’s skin. I was so shocked. The applicator wand took a little getting used to but now it’s like face painting! This is one product I recommend highly!!!

    I tried this product for several weeks. I was quite excited, as it is my first testing. I used it twice a day religiously. The packaging is sleek and modern looking. It says to be careful about not getting it into your eyes or on your lips. I was a bit worried as the application seems it could splatter some. It applied easily, no greasy residue. Smell was, not overly pleasant but also not anything to write hoe about. Now for the big question…did it work. I am 55 with not a lot of wrinkles. My skin can be on the dry side and due to health issues I am on medicines. I honestly, no matter how close I looked saw no difference. Would I purchase it for $95? No way. That is way too much for so little results.

    I just got my Kate Somerville dermal quench liquid lift today. I have used it twice this and this evening. Love , Love it. My face got a bit of redness, it went away fast. It really lifts and i look more rested. It feels wonderful going on and when it is dry it feels really moisturized. Great so far.
