I have a hideous tummy/abdomen after bad lipo. Can a tummy tuck improve the appearance?

Problems after liposuction fall into several categories. One is whether the liposuction was done when you, instead, should have had a skin reduction surgery like a tummy tuck. If this was the case, then an abdominoplasty would be reasonable and it may be all that is needed. Another category is where too much fat was left in places or areas. This requires further liposuction. A third category is if too much fat was taken out in certain places. This generally requires fat grafting. A final category is a combination of 2 or more of the above where you may need several things done to correct the problem. Make sure you see an experienced board certified plastic surgeon (by the American Board of Plastic Surgery) who has significant experience in liposuction, tummy tuck and fat grafting. There are many physicians doing these procedures who have little training and/or experience in them.
