Could you please discuss the results which may be expected from a midface lift which begins with the lower eyelids? Is it possible to affect naso-labial folds and marionette lines in this fashion?
A midface lift tends to address the central part of the face as the name implies, the lower eyelid, the midface, the jowls, the nasolabial folds, and at times the marionettte lines. It is approached throught a lower eyelid incision which usually extends out onto the temple slightly. It is a technically demanding operation and should be performed by someone that is well versed in the procedure as well as its potential complications. It is clearly a superior treatment to the areas you mentioned, but I believe it carries some additional risks compared to the standard facelift. You should be evaluated by a board certified plastic surgeon to see what options are best for you.
