is it ok to have a rhinoplasmy (nose job) after 60? I regret not doing it sooner and i expect to be able to do it in the next 2 years, I am currently 58.
Thank you for your question about nose surgery (rhinoplasty) over age 60. Yes,it can definitely be done and with very nice results. Our noses change with age – the cartilage gets larger, pushing the tip down and this emphasizes the bone on top. Surgery will correct things you never liked about your nose – as well as aging changes. It has to be carefully done to rebalance and correct the nose but the results are usually excellent. Yes it is fine, but as your cartilages are stiffer now then they were as a child the result might not be as refined. Speak to your doctor about it.
