Why do I need to be at my goal weight before plastic surgery? I don’t feel with my frame that I would look good less than my goal weight. If I have 20 pounds of skin and fat removed, I know it would not suit me. I have lost over 100 pounds and would be looking at a tt, arm lift, leg lift butt lift and plenty of lipo.

The key is that you are at the weight you can maintain at the time of surgery. Even more important is that you have a healthy lifestyle with great eating and exercise habits. Its important to have a consultation with a board certified Plastic Surgeon who can help you achieve safe realistic goals.

Our policy is for the patient to be within 20 pounds of their goal weight in order to obtain a satisfactory and result. Of course, a consultation is necessary since every patient is unique.

Typically we suggest patients be at their goal to obtain the optimal result. If you believe that you are within 20 pounds, a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon would be in order.
