{Tested} Beauty Sleep™

Does this little drink really help you sleep and look better? BeautySleep™ ($21.90 for 6 bottles at SoftSurroundings) is a 2oz. dietary supplement that combines anti-aging compounds and cell-protecting anti-oxidants with sleep enhancers. The company claims that the drink fights the signs of aging by maintaining skin elasticity and tone while providing a good night’s sleep. We gave our 6 testers two-nights worth to try out at home. Here’s what they said…

Did BeautySleep™ help you sleep?
It did a fantastic job. I fell asleep quickly and only woke up once. I usually wake up a few times during the night. The next morning I felt fine–not groggy or over sleepy. I woke up feeling refreshed both days.

What did you think of the taste?
Great. I have tried a few products like this before, and they always tasted really bad. This product was easy to drink and refreshing.

Did you notice a difference in your skin?
My skin was not as tight or dry as it usually is when I wake up. I suppose it would take more than two days to really see a difference, but it did feel better than normal.

Is this something you’d keep using?
This is a great product that I would keep using.

Jana Ellis – Douglassville, PA

Did BeautySleep™ help you sleep?
It did help me sleep, something I have been having a huge problem with lately. I felt perky, upbeat and cheerful the next day.

What did you think of the taste?
A bit like a watered down sports drink, which was not bad.

Did you notice a change in your skin?
I did not notice any change in my skin, good or bad. Maybe it needs more use before any skin improvements are noticed.

Is this something you’d keep using?
I would definitely use this product in the future as a sleep aid. I love the beauty sleep drink and would definitely recommend it.

It helped me get into a deeper sleep and stay in a deeper sleep. I woke up feeling refreshed and in a good mood.

What did you think of the taste?
Nice, pleasant taste, with no aftertaste.

Did you notice a difference in your skin?
My skin felt soft and less dry.

Is this something you’d keep using?
This is a product I might consider using on a regular basis if it is within my budget.

Cynthia Ward

Did BeautySleep™ help you sleep?
I was surprised at how it helped me to fall asleep. I was refreshed and calm the next day. I had not taken anything else but I could feel a big change in the way I felt and continued to feel all day.

What did you think of the taste?
Very enjoyable. It was similar to juice but lighter in taste and very easy to swallow.

Did you notice a difference in your skin?
I noticed a change in my skin the first day. My skin felt soft and wonderful.

Is this something you’d keep using?
This is a product that I will purchase immediately because it has helped me remain calm when in the past I have woken up with the jitters. This is really a fab product.

Dawn Marie Helin – Saratoga Springs, NY

Did BeautySleep™ help you sleep?
The product helped me fall asleep gently. This particular week, I had loads of stress (death in the family); this helped me settle in and relax without the ‘falling’ feeling that you get from sleep aids. I felt refreshed in the morning and not at all tired or slow…like with an over-the-counter sleep aid; no dry mouth, no “hangover”.

What did you think of the taste?
Light and not at all medicinal. It had a very pleasant taste, similar to an energy drink.

Did you notice a difference in your skin?
After these two ‘doses’ I did not notice a difference, but I think after a regime of regular use, you might.

Is this something you’d keep using?
I would certainly consider using this again, and seeing how the long-term effects would be.

MaryLee Corder – Springfield, OR

Did BeautySleep™ help you fall asleep?
The first night it didn’t help at all. The next night, I went to sleep right away. The next morning I felt very good and had lots of energy.

What did you think of the taste?
The taste wasn’t really bad at all.

Did you notice a difference in your skin?
Yes, both mornings my face felt softer and more moisturized than normal.

I’ve tried this product and I am sort of amazed at the responses of those who tested this. Besides being outrageously priced, the product was completely ineffective. No help sleeping. And the idea that after a night or two it can work that fast, from the inside, to make a difference on your skin? Really? No.

So this is $22 for 6 doses? As a chronic insomniac since my teens this cannot be worth the money.

I’m with you. I have to take something every night. This is way out of my price range.

melatonin is one of the ingredients of this product; there are some other sleep aids available for purchase more reasonably priced, such as lemon balm, valerian root. Maybe you’ve tried these but if not, they are worth trying
