This blush sounds good on paper…but did it actually work? We sent Mai Couture’s Blush Papier to 9 testers to try. The product comes in a neat, pocket-sized booklet with 50 one-time-use sheets. No brush or sponge is necessary for application—just tear off a sheet and gently rub onto the apples of your cheeks for a “natural hint of shimmering hue,” says the website. Read on to see what our testers thought.
**Quick Take: 9 out of 9 testers would recommend Mai Couture’s Blush Papier to other FOFs.**

Was this product easy to apply? Was it messy?
Yes.
Was the color natural looking?
Yes, definitely natural on my fair skin with golden undertones.
Did the packaging protect the sheets?
Very well. And the packaging connotes a high end product, which I liked.
How long did the product stay on?
A few hours. By the end of the day, the color faded.
Would you continue using this product? Why or why not?
Yes, I would use them when I’m traveling or on the go and might not have a blush brush with me. This takes up much less room and one sheet is definitely enough for both cheeks.
Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
Yes, definitely, if you’re looking for a convenient luxury.

Was this product easy to apply? Was it messy?
Very east. The blush comes on little sheets of paper that you gently wipe on to your cheeks. There are visual instructions in the back of the book, impossible to mess up. They are not messy like traditional powder blush. I love that this product is so easy to travel with. I carry a small purse and this little book fits perfectly, no need for a blush brush!
Was the color natural looking?
The color I chose, Suset Blvd., is very natural looking. My husband commented that it gives me a natural glow. I loved that he noticed!
Did the packaging protect the sheets?
The packaging is great, very protective. It is a sturdy little book with a plastic sleeve over it. I love this product enough that I will invest in the wallet that they sell for the papers.
How long did the product stay on?
I have oily skin with a few fine lines. Yet, I never had to reapply this blush. It actually stays in place! I also love that this blush is so fine that it doesn’t settle in fine lines and creases, that is huge plus.
Would you continue using this product? Why or why not?
I will definitely continue to use this product. I have a love/hate relationship with blush because it is so hard to find one that is natural looking. I don’t want it be incredibly obvious that I’m wearing it. I think that Mai Couture did a beautiful job with this product, they thought outside of the box and it worked.
Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
Absolutely! It is now one of my beauty staples.

CORIANDER WARREN – Fremont, IN
Was this product easy to apply? Was it messy?
Yes, except it was a little challenging at first to get the application to not look so thick in spots. Once I understood the pressure that I needed to use it was simple! I would sometimes get some on my fingers but nothing major–I do that with palette style blush, too!
Was the color natural looking?
Mostly. I’m very pale so blush isn’t always natural looking, no matter how well it’s applied. I think if I were tanner it would have been perfect!
Did the packaging protect the sheets?
The packaging was great. They got a little wrinkled in my makeup case but nothing that damaged the product.
How long did the product stay on?
All day. The color faded a little but no more than any other blush I’ve worn—actually I think this one lasted longer than the product I currently own!
Would you continue using this product? Why or why not?
If I could afford it, because it does work, and it does last. However, I’m a cheapskate, won’t normally buy anything online. Unless it comes to my local superstore for a great deal, I won’t be using it after the sheets run out.
Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
Oh, definitely!

RADHIKA SUBRAMANIAN – Fallon, MO
Was this product easy to apply? Was it messy?
No. The color did not come off on my hands while applying.
Was the color natural looking?
When applied in moderation (just a few circles on each cheek) but looks too pink if I overdo it.
Did the packaging protect the sheets?
Yes, and I like how it is ‘book-like.’
How long did the product stay on?
About 4-6 hours, as far as I could notice.
Would you continue using this product? Why or why not?
Yes. It’s completely different from the usual blush with a brush concept. I don’t have to deal with cleaning the brushes or risk getting an infection and sometimes the brush bristles are too hard on my skin.
Would you recommend this product to other FOFs?
Yes, I loved it and I am sure they will like it too.

Extremely natural looking. Soft and subtle the way I love it.

ALERT!!
Sally’s sells these for under $3! I have been buying neutral colors in them for years. Made on rice paper.
This is an overpriced copy cat product.
