Before & After: A Beautiful Bathroom Renovation!

“The lovely, single home, with a pool, was a dream come true for this Brooklyn girl! With just a few new pieces of furniture, we were able to move right in. The kitchen and bathrooms were in excellent condition. The former owners had selected white and gray Formica for the kitchen and one bathroom, and peach Formica for the master bath. Over the years, however, our tastes changed, as did Florida home styles in general, and we gradually redid some areas of the house. We refaced the kitchen cabinets in a dark wood, for instance, and added a coordinating granite counter. It totally changed the look of the house.

I’m now very happy to say that, after 17 years, we finally(!) undertook the bathroom renovations!  The style (that famous Formica) was so tiresome, and the large step-up bathtub in the master bathroom took up so much space that could be better used. Both bathrooms now have beautiful wood cabinets, granite counters and porcelain tile floors, and I love them. I almost feel like I’m in a new home! The new large shower is a delight. I truly enjoy it. So, despite the dust and inconvenience of it all for so many months, it was totally worth it.  I highly recommend a ‘facelift’ for your bathroom. No matter how small or big, enjoy it.”   — Alice Warren
