I love seeing the favorite things of other FOF women. I had an easy time with my selections with only one exception: the favorite place to shop for women’s clothing and accessories. I’ve been shopping at Nordstrom for most of my life, but lately I’ve been wishing they had a special department for us (FIF women!) Why not? We deserve it! I have tried most of these products, what surprised me the most was my need for a multi-vitamin. I had severe leg cramps and after reading an article it states I might be lacking in minerals. I take a multi-vitamin with minerals daily and no more leg cramps. All of these products are great products, winning them would be super !!!

I loved the movie “The Help” and would love to read the original book (since most movies leave out a lot of scenes from the original manuscript). I like Estee Lauder because their scents are generally light. Although Chanel has been around for a while, the scent is a little heavy for me. I am mostly “tech illiterate” but I would love to try the Kindle Fire. It does not seem as intimidating as some of the other tech gadgets.

I can’t think of any product that I wouldn’t love to have from the choices that we voted on. Every one of them is fabulous. This is an extremely generous giveaway as are all the giveaways by Faboverfifty.com and they seem to somehow manage to continue to get better and better with each new contest. However, I don’t know how you can top this one.

Thanks to using Oil of Olay for years, discovered I find great sales using my e-mail for Coldwater Creek, having facial massages when I get my hair done, and by not eating gluten not only do I look better but my migraines are better. I realized after voting on the top 2011 Favorite Things, how many of them I’ve heard about but never tried. I did, however, order a Kindle Fire for my 82 year old Mother who told me she had graduated from the basic Kindle and was ready for the “new , fancy one!” Which means, I’ll have to learn the ins and outs of the new technology. Mom is a fearless techno warrior as long as I can tell her how to turn it on and make it go! I, on the other hand, find that massages have done the best for me in 2011 and I look forward to them in 2012.

I’m always trying new fragrances, BUT, I always come back to Chanel for special occasions and always have a large bottle of cologne on hand and a small bottle of parfum sitting right next to it. “The Help”? Give me a break! “Midnight in Paris” is a far better movie, as is the last of the Harry Potter’s…”The Help” appeals to those who need feel good to assuage their unconscious guilt. I don’t have an IPhone or IPad so those would top my list. I love Chanel perfume so that would rank third. I’ve read all the books (yes, even The Bible) and seen all the movies and while I enjoyed them all I don’t need to own them (except The Bible which I have already). The Brazilian Facial Peel would be fourth because I have never tried any peels and who knows- it might get rid of some of my uneven skin tones and fine wrinkle lines. My last choice would be gluten free foods because I have been diagnosed with severe gluten intolerance and have discovered lots of creative ways to eat carbohydrates-wheat free but always use some more suggestions.
