I would go back to school to be a lawyer…..legal services are so very expensive, so I would practice on a sliding scale, according to ability to pay. I went through a very expensive divorce….money was stupidly spent – that should have been saved for the children’s college…..at one hearing, the lawyers for both sides had to reschedule the next court date – one was going to Spain and the other to golfing in Myrtle Beach – with the money we were paying for our divorce. I want divorce to be more equitable and civil – it should not be a venue for each side to exact revenge on the other -especially at the expense of the children’s futures!

Learning is so often wasted on the young. When I was in college in the late ’60s-early ’70s, I was primarily interested in the study of my social life. I went on to major in education and taught for many years. I loved teaching, but if I had it to do all over again, I would major in Multi-Cultural Studies with a minor in education. Such a major would have made me better able to communicate with all of my students and would have made me a far more empathetic and enlightened teacher. I am fascinated by all cultures and the ways they approach all facets of life in ways both oddly familiar and strangely unfamiliar. I would so love the opportunity for organized learning now that I have no other distractions. That is not to say that I don’t learn something new everyday, but to learn from experts in their field, now that would be a dream come true!

Oh, if I could go back in time…hmmm….I want to learn it all! I have so many interests. If I must choose, I would choose medicine in some form. My daughter has had severe chronic illnesses for the past seven years and I have been her caretaker as only a mother could. I only wish I knew more to help her.

Anything? Well, if I could go back to school I would take loads of art classes. I love to knit, crochet and tat and would love to learn how to create my own designs. I also would love to learn about all types of art, sculpture, etc. I build sand castles and would love to learn how to do that with clay or stone.

I would love to go back to school just to enjoy taking classes in any subjects that interest me. I love looking at college course catalogs and seeing what is available. I enjoy and appreciate learning so much more now than I did when I was younger.

Since my career was as a counselor/therapist in some form (I’m an art therapist but also worked as a vocational counselor, etc.) I would go back to school to learn animation (3D, 2D) which had been my plan when I was 18. Women animators were not readily accepted back then!

If I could go back to school, I would become a veterinarian. I still love to volunteer and care for animals however I can, but I wish I had the training, time, and money to help strays and animals that live with people who may not have the funds to take them in for checkups, etc.

I’m a passionate amateur and would love to have a more complete understanding. The people who lived then were related to every one of us.

They had worries, hopes, calamities, joys and yearnings just like us, and they had them in times of great want and great wealth.

I want to see my great great great great great great great Grandmother – discover what her life was like, and tell her about mine.

I would love to go back to school! (In my former life, I was a teacher) I am especially interested in language – the roots, structure, and meanings of words. Latin was not an option when I was in school and I believe I missed an important part of understanding our (English) language due to this omission in my education. I firmly believe any educational endeavor is worthwhile, but am particularly drawn to this area.

I would definitely go back to study something that is artistically related. My whole life and education has always been focused on the practical. But I’m ready to “break out”!

The practical side of my brain says accounting, since we just started our own business…and I feel like we are flying by the seat of our pants on some days….but I would love to go back and sit in on all the history classes that I stored in my short term memory just long enough to take the finals….it just didn’t seem that important to me then. Now, I wish I had retained all that information…and, alas, my poor brain just doesn’t seem to have stored it anywhere….

I have gone back to school and I am taking sewing classes. I love it. There are no papers to write but boy do I have projects. I just finihed a couture Chanel jacket. I find this so rewarding. I love when I can alter a dress for someone and they look amazing. I couldn’t make or alter the clothes I have been doing if I hadn’t gone back to school.

I would go back to school to work with speech and hearing impaired children and adults. This would be a plus in my teaching career, because so many children struggle with communication skills.

I’m not sure if I would make a good teacher, but if I could go back to school, I would major in Education instead of Business Management(YUCK!). I knew growing up and with my own daughter what an impression some of her teachers have made in her life and will last forever with her as she grows up and becomes an adult. It’s more than just teaching a subject, it means so much more to be a role model, sometime a friend/confident etc.

If I could go back to school for anything else it would be either an Accountant or a Teacher. I love math and Accountants always have a job. Teaching, especially reading and literacy sets children on a path for life.
