Is Hillary going to the prom or the mother of the bride? I think she’s trying to relive her youth which was undoubtably serious and ambitious….I hate the long hair too….Hillary, you’re too old for a mid life crisis!!!!
Reminds me of Carol Burnet spoofing Scarlet O’Hara by wearing the draperies off the wall (including the drapery rods)! Too much of a muchness. Her face looks lovely though.
I actually like her hair, it is a flattering style for her, and much better than her usual “do”. I think the dress is fine from the waist up, but the skirt is just too much. A plain, straight skirt would have been better. That said, perhaps Chelsea picked it out for her and did not want her mother to outshine her.

Hillary Clinton looks hideous but she is not a genuine person to begin with and beauty starts on the inside.. .In her words, “What difference does it make?”
This was a perfect choice for Hilary and the special day. The dress transcends stereotypical matronly gowns and has an international appeal as well. Lovely dress for a lovely woman.
My first thought was that it was too bold but then I looked longer and saw the beauty, femininity and strength the dress imbued. That’s when I KNEW I loved it:)
Hillary’s gown to me is great but she could have worn it when she was 18 years old on her debut…. I would want that gown for my grand daughter to wear on her debut!
I say “who am I to judge”………..if she was happy with her selection then more power to her. When you have “class” it doesn’t matter what you are wearing, your true beauty shines through. You go Hillary!
This dress is too busy. The color is way too explosive. She definitely needed something more subdued. Your eyes see the dress and not the Bride, that is not good.
What’s with the flowers? Color is great for her but what’s with the caplets on her shoulders. I’m surprised. She should have stuck with something simple in the same great color.
Hillary’s dress would have been great, in a little girl size, for the flower girl . It was totally unflattering to her. Her hairdo is unflattering too. Bad taste all around. The grey dress in the middle and Chelsea’s dresses are gorgeous, however.
I’d love to have this because it would make tvleraing with our toddler (and her brother) a whole lot easier. No need to take the stroller AND the car seat separately throughout the airport! Woohoo! Thanks for the chance!treflea4 at gmail dot com
Hillary..Hillary….how many times do I have to tell you that you don’t got to Oscar and say, “O-baby — give me the prom dress I never got in High School”? Actually, that isn’t even the prom dress from her high school years – that shoulder drape is from the late 50s. And I wish they had done something more up-do and less “Alice in Wonderland’ with her hair. I think a column dress in a rich brocade, 3/4 sleeves, ballet neckline with her hair up in a French twist would have been a better call for her. My two cents.
After searching for my own MOB dress for over a year, I know for sure I have no right to judge anyone else’s choice of dress for their daughter’s wedding. Given what we all have to choose from, I don’t think dress designers have a clue what an older woman should look like on a special occasion. Here is the link to mine: http://fabgrandma.com/mother-of-the-bride-2/
Y’all tell me what you think, but honestly, I don’t care–it fit my criteria: It has sleeves, it fits, and it is the color I wanted. 3 for three.
It’s colorful and vibrant, a very special dress for a special day. I think I would have preferred all one shade, but I love that it is a total over the top dress. The color is gorgeous on her. She is a powerful woman, a world leader, with only one daughter, think she made a great choice! But then, I had an over the top dress at my daughter’s wedding. My daughter took me to try it on, begged me to wear it to her wedding, it cost more than the wedding gown! I’m sure Chelsea felt the same way and probably helped pick it. I would not expect Hillary to wear some plain mother of the bride outfit.
The dress is too busy, and is too strong a color.
The shoulders are pretty but add the grduation of color and the raised print and your eyes jump from one feature to another. Overpowering, too much.
I think her hair looks quite lovely, and the color of the dress is wonderful on her. I wish the dress was not so frou-frou, though. Both Chelsea and Mrs. Rodham look great.

Much too busy for my taste. And I agree the hair is not her best option. But overall, she is a powerful woman and we all get to pick.

Too young and frou frou for a serious event. It’s too costumey.

Since you asked, Hillary fire your stylist and hire your Mother’s.
Glenna Fleeman says:
I wouldn’t have selected it because I think it looks too much like a bridesmaid dress, but if she loved it, well then, fine.
Angela Mogin says:
The color wasn’t too b ad but all that busy work on the skirt was over the top. In this case, less would definitely have been more.

Color is not good for her. Makes her look fat and dumpy.
