Figure-Flattering Designs For Real Women

We’re FabOverFifty, and that’s great for lots of reasons! We’re much savvier than we were two decades ago. We’ve gained a rich perspective on life, and, for the most part, we’ve stopped sweating the small stuff. We’ve surely accomplished a great deal. But unless we make it to the moon, most of us probably will never defy gravity!

Gravity may be a blessing when it comes to keeping us firmly planted on the ground, but it’s also made our bodies, shall we say, a little less perfect over time. And that, ladies, can make it very, very frustrating to shop for clothes.

Most fashion for FOFs just doesn’t seem to cut it. It’s too structured or too frumpy; too gaudy or too plain. Muu-muus? No thank you! And when we try on a fashion-forward top we like, it usually reveals the areas that we’d rather keep covered.

Is it too much to ask for breathability, shapeliness and coverage, all in one package?

Not according to Covered Perfectly, the L.A. based clothing line, founded by Pauline Durban. Pauline, a British-born, L.A. transplant, launched her line of tops in May of 2013. Her goal was to create figure-flattering designs for real women, that also are unbelievably comfortable.

Pauline has designed elegant silhouettes that feature sexy bits of detail, such as well-placed ruching, drapes and gathers that flatter and emphasize “perfectly”! Most of her collection is made of MicroModal, a natural fabric known for its incredible softness.  These tops are so sumptuous and light, you may forget you’re wearing one! An FOFriend even wore one of Pauline tops to bed. The range hues will complement every skin tone, and look fabulous dressed up or down.

So, without further ado, here are our three top picks from Covered Perfectly:

Simple Comfort

Simple Comfort is the wardrobe must-have and will stand the test of seasons. Three-quarter length sleeves and light fabric makes it perfect for summer, yet its smooth and streamlined silhouette can be layered in cooler weather. This will become your go-to basic.

Gathered Front

Gathered Front is effortlessly chic. Its sexy cinching elegantly emphasizes your assets and its draped front falls beautifully over the bust, while the ruched waist hugs just enough and creates a striking hourglass shape.

Off the Shoulder

Off the Shoulder offers a sleek look with a twist. This subtly sexy design frames the décolletage beautifully and its flattering neckline looks absolutely stunning with your favorite jewelry, or simply perfect, unadorned.

This line is designed with you, the real woman, in mind. Maybe you can’t defy gravity, but you’ll surely be over the moon in Covered Perfectly! Visit coveredperfectly.com—Happy Shopping! Like us on Facebook at facebook.com/coveredperfectly.

These tops run large in my experience. Just received my first shirts yesterday and they are all too large. I’m 5’5″, 160 lbs 36 D and I believe I can use a Medium. Very nice material, Sending the Large(s) back and hoping the Mediums will fit properly. Problem. The company did not include return instructions in the package. There was no paperwork in the package. Also the shirts were in individual packages but they were all in a priority mail envelope! Not a box but an envelope. Very surprised at the packaging.

      Hi Linda,

I will email you a return label. Directions are on the web site. The tops are all made in the USA so they are generous in size. More than happy to exchange them. I want to be able to continue to offer free shipping. To keep the cost down, whenever possible they will come in priority mail padded envelopes. I’m always here to make your exerience with Covered Perfectly as pleasurable as possible. Pauline

Well I am turning into a problem child! To correct my last post there actually was a packing slip in my order. So about the return: Well I had ordered other items from another vendor and they were too small. So I packed both returns up, without putting my glasses on. Got home to discover that I probably put the wrong packing slips into each box. How was I going to get my Perfectly Covered exchange back and how was I going to get my refund from the other company? I emailed Pauline at Perfectly Covered and at 10:pm EST on Friday night she emailed me back and said she would take care of it for me. Imagine my surprise receiving a response from a customer service department at that time of night! So pleased. Thank you Pauline.
