Yes you can reduce lower belly bulge and even eliminate it with daily execution of a special 2 minute target tone/spot reduction exercise I created called “Organs in Place/Half Frogs”. Just by doing one set of 8 repetitions each day for 7-10 days, most people lose at least one inch in their lower abdominals. You can get this exercise for free at: http://www.ttapp.com/articles/flatstomach/index.html

It’s also on the free DVD that comes inside my book, Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes (best price is at amazon.com but also check with your local library)
Be sure to measure before you start – I think you’ll be pleasantly suprised!

Good luck! Here’s a motivational success story too:

The way to reduce “belly bulge” is to engage in cardio exercise. You can strengthen the CORE but you can not spot reduce the CORE or any other place on the body. If you want to see just how the body loses weight, set an ice cube out on the counter and watch it melt. The area that is the thickest melts last. Our bodies release our extra fat store in the same fashion. Strength exercises will strengthen the muscles and cardio exercise will help reduce the extra fat that is covering the muscles. So the best ab machine is really the tread mill, spinning bike or the equivalent. Don’t hesitate to ask the advise of a personal trainer to help you get started in the right direction.

I recommend trying the Thin & Healthy Fitness Program, if it’s available in your area. That, combined with regular exercise has helped me get rid of that, and more. It’s affordable, you eat your own food, and it did for me and everyone in my gym that is doing it, what a full year of trying to eat right on my own, and working with a personal trainer 3x a week couldn’t. Check it out online and see if they are in your area. You won’t regret it! Good luck!

Oh yeah! Go to the fitness center at last twice a week, get on the stomach machine and gradually build up your strength so that you’re doing 30 – 75 with rests at every level of 2=15. You won’t believe how much you’ll be able to accomplish in 12 weeks. Trust me, I’m there 🙂

It takes more than some DR saying something can’t be done to get me depressed! I love the challenge 🙂

I’m a Zumba instructor; many of the moves we do “engage the core.” In other words, always contract your abs whenever you’re exercising. Belly dancing and similar moves are comparable to doing abs while standing. Of course, exercise must be combined with a sensible diet.
