Living with fluctuating hormones can be exhausting! Throw in aging and a busy lifestyle, and it is no surprise you have no energy.

    A few survival tips:

    1. Make sure you are eating healthy real foods, lean proteins, low to medium glycemic carbs and healthy fats. Eat every 4 hours to keep your blood sugar stable and kick start that metabolism for energy.
    2. Exercise – the easiest way to start feeling better. It is often hard to start when your are feeling pooped, but try to add 30 minutes a day of some activities (walking, biking, exercise DVD). It will get those feel-good endorphins flowing again.
    3. If you are suffering from menopause symptoms, discuss management options (lifestyle changes, non-hormonal remedies, and medical choices available) with your health care provider.
    4. Do something special for YOU. A new hair style, new outfit, a massage, girls luncheon.
    5. Make quiet time for yourself.
    6. If you are taking care of a family, hubby, parents – get support and don’t forget to take care of yourself.
    7. Get plenty of sleep.
    8. Unplug! Don’t answer the phone, turn off the computer.
    9. Schedule time for fun activities.
    10. Celebrate YOU.

    My motto during menopause—- ME-NO-Pause

Menopause is a great opportunity for a mid-life makeover. It often takes looking at all areas of your life (health, nutrition, fitness, beauty, emotions, relationships, spirituality and happiness) to pull it all together. Once you do the work – which is tough when you have no energy – it will be worth.

Sending you a big energized hug.
