I have eaten at several good places in Santiago but hesitate to recommend based on not knowing your preferences. What I thought was good may not be to your taste. (no pun intended)
To me part of the adventure of travel is to explore on your own. You may hit some klunkers but overall I think you will find some of your own treasures.

I have been to Patagonia, but not to those towns. I would however, recommend, using http://www.virtualtourist.com for great recommendations. For example, here’s a current review for Puerto Nagales :
    Afrigonia :
This restaurant actually serves African and Patagonian fusion cuisine, hence Afrigonia. The decor was simple, with some African influence such as the wooden giraffe napkin holder.

We tried the salmon cerviche, king crab (austral king) appetizer, the lamb, and shrimp and scallop curry. I also had the mango pisco.

My friend and I were the most impressed with the king crab mousse served with natural king crab, kiwi, and calafate sauce. It was really fresh and flavourful. The salmon cerviche is interesting – also very fresh, but it was a bit too sour for our taste. The lamb was nicely marinated and cooked, tender and juicy. The curry was just OK, mainly because it was not really curry in the traditional sense but more like shrimp and scallops in a broth. I quite enjoyed the mango pisco.

Overall, it was a pretty good dining experience. It is a pretty small restaurant, so you may want to make reservations.

Favorite Dish: King crab appetizer – fresh, tasty
