It sounds like you are living a healthy lifestyle. The decision to take HT is very individualized.

As with any medical therapy, the decision to use menopause hormone therapy should be made by a woman in consultation with her healthcare provider, based on:

    –Underlying cause of her symptoms
    –Age
–Disease risk factors with and without hormone therapy
    –Preferences
    –Cost of treatment options
–Impact of symptoms on her quality of life

An informed decision about menopause-related symptom relief also includes knowledge of the risks and benefits of other prescription therapies, complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) approaches, and lifestyle strategies, as well as awareness of the option to do nothing at all and let the symptoms take their natural course—which for most women means resolution over time.

Many women find their complexion improves and it is easier to maintain a healthy weight once they begin HT, but we are all different. Menopause is a wonderful time to update eating habits (smaller portions, real foods, low to medium glycemic carbs, lean proteins, healthy fats), make time for daily exercise and pampering time. These lifestyle changes can contribute to finding your ideal weight and a radiant complexion.

Congrats on your good habits of not eating too much sugar and drinking lots of water. Make lifestyle changes and discuss symptom management with your practitioner.

Thank you for your question 🙂
