Is there an age when you feel woman should stop coloring her hair to cover the gray? I’m 57 and have been dyeing my hair for 17 years, and I’m wondering if I should let the gray hair take over.

Only if YOU want to! I have been coloring at least that long (and have silver grey totally underneath) but I LIKE making people’s eyes bug out with my ever changing palate! I go Red, Mahogany, black Cherry, brown, auburn and even PINKY red! It’s for fun! Do what YOU want!

I went totally gray, then white, just after age 40. I am now 65 and am told I have beautiful white hair. I do love it, but I must admit it does make be feel older. And when someone asks if I am the “mother” of my partner I question keeping it white! I suppose it all boils down to a matter of taste, and that changes. Right now, I am keeping it white in spite of the age factor.

I have been dying my hair for at least that long. My grey is not gorgeous. I feel better when I look younger. Coloring also makes one hair thicker if they have thinning hair. I have discussed this topic with many of my lady friends. Some don’t care if they are grey , or don’t want to bother, others feel as I do that color gives a lift. It’s definitely a matter of personal choice. My mom stopped dying her hair in her mid 80’s!!!

Set yourself free – go gray! It is sexy! Go for it and post your photo, inspire others.
I am 53, and if I had a head of gorgeous gray hiding under my blonde locks, I would unleash them for the world to see. Let us know what you decide.
