I keep seeing young celebrities with super shiny hair and I would love to get that kind of shine at an affordable price. Know of any products that really work?

My dry, colored hair was driving me crazy until I stopped using shampoo, started using creme rinse (whatever’s cheapest) instead, and massaged it in liberally to get the surfactants to work (creme rinse does have surfactants, it seems). Then I rinse thoroughly with warm water, then rinse with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 2 cups of warm water, and finally rinse with warm water again. My hair stays shiny, but it does sometimes get dry, and then I use Moroccan Oil – about a nickel-size dab for my quite long hair. People have been commenting on my shiny hair, so I know it works.

Pantene…I use the one for Thin hair to add volume, but there is tons of shine and even my hubby loves it. There are different types depending on what your hair needs are.

Cheapest and usually handiest is the old standby mayonnaise. Use after washing and leave on a minute ir so, rinse with coolwater. Do not overuse styling products as they weigh down hair and blot out inner shine.

I have very dry colored hair. I use about 2 drops of olive oil on my hair daily. It helps with the frizzies and makes it shiny.

I love Kerastase, not inexpensive to buy but since you use so little each time it lasts forever making it worth the price. I use the shampoo and conditioner, a small drop will do you. I color my hair frequently to cover the grey so I want something gentle that leaves my hair incredibly shiny and healthy. This does the trick. I also use the volumizing spray, just the right thing for my simple bob cut.

Enter answer here …lil AVON Has two products that make your hair more manageable and makes it really shine; Shine capsules, which you use when the hair is wet and a Mirror shine spray that you can use daily. I use both of these products and my hair is soft, manageable, and shiny. I get complements all of the time.Full price is $8.00 each but AVON has them on sale often for 2/$7.99. These products can be ordered from my online store at http://www.youravon.com/lillianphillips

I like Avon products especially since I can always buy them when then are on sale instead of paying the full price..which isn’t that much, but I like bargains. They have several different types for different hair problems. Avon has a frizz control product that is a lot cheaper than the $20 mentioned by Tracy Brown.

As an AVON rep, I have given samples of Anti Frizz serum to cosmotology schoold in area–they are very pleased with results. I urge anyone who is cost conscious and prefers to use purchased styling products rather than “home redemies” to simply give the AVON ADVANCED TECHNIQUES products a try. If you do not have a rep in your ares, go to AVON web site and find one, ask for samples, only cost is your time.

I use coconut oil! JUST a dab rubbed between my hands and then “swiped” down the mid to ends of my hair. I have tried “Zero Frizz” as well as a John Frieda product and agree that one only needs a literal DROP or otherwise the hair looks greasy!

I use Pravana shampoo and conditioner. It contains no sulphates, which dull your hair. Nothing has ever made my hair shine like Pravana does. I get it on Amazon.com and it is not that expensive. A tiny bit goes a very long way.

Yes, I use Moroccan (or Argan) oil on my hair. Just a few drops before I iron and my hair comes out super shiney, non frizzy (I’m in Miami btw) and gorgeous. I highly recommend! 🙂

I’m using WEN. My hair has gotten dry but using WEN daily is like using a conditioner. My hair is back to soft, shiny and manageable!

I love it! I use the Lavender WEN. During the summer, my hair can be a frizz-ball, so I usually get it cut shorter, in a wash and go style. It is naturally curly/wavy and the WEN allows it to dry with shape and style, but NO frizz!! Preserves my color, too!!

Zero Frizz is a silicone product that’s inexpensive and works. Citre Shine also has a serum that imparts shine. You only need a drop of these product or your hair will look greasy. These are found in drugstores for around 5-7 dollars.
My favorite however is Phytolisse by Phyto. It’s one that the stars use and that I have used for years. It not only gives your hair shine, it keeps frizz at bay. It lasts a long time, making it worth the cost. Around 20-25 dollars per bottle.
