There are some very effective repellant sprays, but they will need to be reapplied after every rain. You can try planting a barrier of shrubs, such as boxwood, that deer don’t like because of their smell. That said, after many years of frustration and loss of plants, I finally built a deer fence around the areas of the garden that I need to protect. That has been the best solution for me.
