Is it possible to raise vegetables(tomatoes,lettuces,etc) as well as herbs in a a yard that is predominitely shady, just a little sun? Thanks

    With a yard that is predominately shady, you’ll have your best luck with things like lettuces and other greens, though in our first garden, which only got partial sun during the day, we had pretty good luck with beans and zucchini (but again, I sometimes think that you could grow zucchini on cement). Plants like tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and so on, need a lot of warmth and sun, so they will not do well in the shade at all. For those, I’d recommend putting them into five gallon buckets and putting them on your sunny patio, deck or even driveway, as long as you keep them well watered.
