    Hi Joyzkim
St.Croix probably as an island has not changed all that much overall. The better properties to stay at on the island are Caneel Bay, the Westin or the Ritz. There are deals available so if you need details and want to check dates just let me know and I’ll be happy to help unless you already have a travel professional you work with. Thanks

HI again- I just want to amend the above email as I hit return by error. The hotels I suggested are between St. John and St. Thomas. I would suggest making St. Croix a day trip from either of the other islands. The only hotels rated on St. Croix are mostly two star properties, but if that doesn’t matter, then you can stay on the island at the HOtel Caravelle or the Club St. Croix Beach Resort.
      Thanks

I’m sorry, but I am new here and the first “guru” post I read here begins with the statement that a locale “probably has not changed all that much in 22 years”? As a St Croix homeowner, I can assure you that the island is much, much different than it was in the 80’s, just as any continental locale. Not sure what ratings you use in the post below. But there are many clean, well-run accommodations with modern amenities on St Croix. I hesitate to recommend any without knowing what amenities and activities the poster is searching for. I’m surprised a travel agent would do that. I suggest that anyone wanting to visit anywhere seek out those who have visited or lived at their destination for trustworthy advice and the best places to stay. I doubt there will be few who actually stayed at the Hotel Caravelle (in second post) recently, for example, who would recommend it. Place is not in the best of shape. And Club St Croix? Nice place, beautiful beach. But located across the street from project housing. The high locked fences, topped with barbed wire and security guards on the beach at night should be mentioned.

Just to claify your comments – I was in St. Croix two years ago, and the post I made was in my opinion. The hotels I mentioned are two star rated and rated that way for a reason. I usually do not sell two star properties to my clients, thus the comments. I appreciate your informaiton and comments.
