No matter what I do to lose weight, it just stays on. I exercise & try to watch what I eat. Do I need to cut out all carbs & sugars?

Absolutely do NOT stop carbs – just switch to “better” carbs like whole grains, dried beans, brown rice, etc. Here is also an article I wrote on recent research on whey protein: http://thefrugaldietitian.com/?p=23810

Drink at least 8 glasses of water each day. I’d recommend watching your fat intake, get in the habit of reading labels on all foods and beverages. Watch your salt level too. And skip diet or regular soda. Eat slowly and get enough fresh fruit and veggies!
