I wear glasses most of the day for reading or sun protection. I get red bumps, like clogged pores, where my glasses sit on my nose. Any tips on how to avoid without tossing my glasses (can’t wear contacts)?

You don’t say whether or not your glasses have the movable nose pieces or the plastic pieces that are built in as part of the frame. It does make a difference! If they are movable, the nose pieces are too tight and you need to change frames. If they are part of the frame itself, the nose pieces have to be cleaned each day. I would also ask if you ever wear plastic on any other part of your body, like a plastic bracelet or watch. You could be allergic and your skin reacting to the contact with plastic.

Thank you BlueBear – the glasses are plastic frames without moveable nose pieces. I have already started cleaning them daily with immediate results – yay!

First make certain to clean your glasses with rubbing alcohol every day to prevent bacteria from building up on the frames. You can also use a retinol product OTC on your nose every night and in a month or so the problem should disappear.

Great idea to use rubbing alcohol to prevent bacteria from building up! I will give it a try as well as use a OTC retinol product – thanks!
