I have just been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. The heel pain is bad enough, but then there is the sad choice of shoes that you are supposed to wear. Also, I am not a 24/7 sneaker kind of gal . Has anyone found any really cute shoes or designers that make shoes that are good for this condition?

Ouch! I have the same problem. Some days it hurts really bad. I feel your pain. Cute shoes with PF? hmm…I am not a sneaker gal either, but I can wear most of my closed shoes as long as I have a Wondercup WonderZorb Soft Silicone Orthotics Heel Support insert. It helps! Also staying away from flip flops is a good thing. Look for a shoe that has a good surdy back(heel area) for the support to keep the insert in. I like Taryn Rose, Cole Hahn loafers, Stuart Weitzman. Check Zappos.com(great shoe choices) for other lines with a cushioned sole too. I also wear a brace at night. Wishing you well!

I don’t have this problem but my sister does. I’m afraid “cute” shoes are not in the cards for this painful problem. My sister, also anti-sneaker, found clogs, the type of clogs worn by nurses and the ones that come in lots of colors other than white, were very helpful. She also lives in Birkenstocks, as the shoes mold to your foot as you wear them. Cole-Haan’s “air” technology shoe line is also great but be advised that the last thing you want to do is wear high heels. I hope this helps…
