    Thank you for the question. As I read your provided dimensions and best and worst and features as you put it, many flattering ideas come to mind. It would be helpful if I knew the way you dress for work though. And without a photo, I am going to venture a thought or two. Just from what you provided here, I want to first say that if your intent is to look taller and leaner, then the use of solid colors and texture will be a consideration. If you wear skirts or dresses to work keep the leg and shoe matching. say black hose and black shoe. If you wear pants to work, slim legs slightly tappered and fitted jacket with sleeves the appropriate length. Keep in mind that if your sleeves are too long it takes away from you and could make you appear dumpy and heavy. Sleeves should be right at the wrist. The jacket of a suit that hits you right above your hip is also flattering especially if the jacket and pant is a matching suit. If you can get away with it, a 1and 1/2 inch pump will give you your best posture and always looks professional.

    StyleGoesStrong42030 – I hope this helps and thank you for the opportunity to help.

    Sincerely,

    I would think that a slim fitting trouser would be best in neutral shaes… Black, navy, tan…etc… tee shirts would be great with racer back showing off your great upper body. off shoulder looks,. there are great sweaters available this year in trapeze shapes that could cover some of your butt, but….. butt is good… Because of your height ,and short legs, I would suggest to go with mono shades .. this will give the eye a longer appearance and not chopped up Keep away from ankle strap shoes. It sounds like you have a great body…. a nice pencil skirt would be fun with a matching hip length sweater !!!!!

    I would go with simple, a-line hip length tops and slim slacks a’ la Hillary Clinton, as it sounds like your shape is similar to hers. This is a combination which would give you a longer, leaner look and would work whether you’re wearing your manager hat or “mom” hat.

    Your measurements your age, work description, ethnicity background and your personality are all important to note. To really develop personal style I would need to know more about you. Conceptually I would work on giving you simple, easy body lengthening looks that would also lengthen your legs as well. Your best features would be highlighted. Working with neutral tones (not necessarily black) would make your work life and personal time –mix and match as much as possible.

      I’m organized; creative; work in a primarily male dominated job (construction related). I’m known as a fixer (I seem to have a knack for fixing problems) Prefer to look forward instead of back; have a good intuition;

      I don’t like my clothes to center me out, but I like to look good.
      I like to be noticed behind the scenes rather than being the centre of attention.
      I feel best when someone says – “You look great” rather than “I love your outfit”
      I’m a sexy person but not in a visual way – I’ve been told that my first impression is one of power and that I can seem intimidating, yet when people get to know me they see me as kind, fun, determined and focussed.
      I’m always complimented on my arms (I was a swimmer) I’d like to soften my looks. I have the office wear (lots of pant suits) but not a great selection of casual wear (my casual is gardening clothes; workout gear; and orthopedic shoes – jeans, t-shirts and v-neck pullovers.
      Is that what you were looking for?
