Other than equestrian style boots what other shoes are appropriate with skinny jeans. Also, if you are not tucking your skinny jeans into your boots, what length should they be – touching the top of your foot, ending at the ankle???

My favorite look with skinny jeans is the bootie or ankle boot depending on how modern the leg is. For ex: I have a skinny jean that has zippers at the ankle and wear a modern ankle boot.

Another favorite is the wedge boot with skinny jeans. On shopstyle.com you will see a range of styles and prices in these classifications. There are thousands of styles to choose from.

The skinny jean can stop at the ankle or you can scrunch up the extra fabric at the ankle right above the top of the boot. This is the year of the boot so it should be very easy for you to find several options.

I’d pull every pair of boots out of the closte and try them on with the skinny jeans and see what look good to you. I’ve worm my cowboy boots. My rubber rain boots, My short ankle boots and my sneakers with my skinny jeans. They all looked good. It’s completely up to you and how you feel on a given day, where your going and what turns you on. It’s the holiday season, jazz up ypur skinny jeans with a sparkly top and some platfrom pumps if you dare. Have fun, look good, be comfortable and enjoy yourself.

i only wear skinny jeans so this question is a no brainer for me…. i am assuming that your legs are a good feature as you already are doing the skinny leg jean thing… I also wear a short booty nshoe flat and also with a heela dn I love kitten heeled shoes as well…. i very rarely do a thigh high with a jean… too uncomfortable for me, but it works!!! a very good look this year is a cool biker boot like mid calf, flat boot, ….the more rugged the better…….
As far as length is concerned when not tucking in the boot, i go for ankle length… I do not like when my skinny jeans wrinkle and bunch.. It throws off the proportion of the leg making the ankle look larger than it is….and shortening the look of the length of the leg below the knee…. enjoy!!!

For a woman who is FOF I believe in a flat boot such as the equestrian style you suggest. So long as the boot is flat (or shoe) you are counter playing the sexy aspect of skinny jeans. Even sexy over-the- knee styles would work (especially in brown suede) so long as they are totally flat. Skinny jeans look well paired with ballerina flats or driving moccasins (I am not a fan of the skinny jeans cum heels look). The jeans should meet your foot .

Pumps, booties, shooties or flats all work well with skinny jeans, just pay attention to the balance of the outfit (as we should all do with any outfit). Here’s a look http://bit.ly/vjN4Oh, with a flowy but fitted top, skinny jean leggings and nude platforms. Paired with a shiny top, jacket and pumps, this look http://bit.ly/sXup3W is great for a holiday party or girls night out.

If you aren’t tucking your skinny jeans, choose to wear a length that comes past your ankle. It will lengthen the look of your legs. Anything that comes above the ankle can make anyone look choppy, chunky and add thickness to your ankles and calf area especially if the boot or shoe is not well-suited for the outfit.
