Hi all! I’m looking for a retreat/spa to go to either alone or with my daughters (grown). I live in Wisconsin so a WARM weather or summer place would be nice..not too expensive either. I’m just looking for someplace to go to for some fun, relaxation, etc. Any suggestions?? Thanx for responding.

I’d suggest either Palm Springs, CA there are all kinds of places to stay which have spa services. There are natural hot springs owned by the local Indians with a spa which is very inexpensive. I’d also suggest Ojai, CA which has very high end and much more modest places to stay as well. Ojai, is very small about 1/2 hour from Santa Barbara, CA

    Hi Kathy,
Safety Harbor Resort and Spa is a great place for some rest, wellness and relaxation. It is located in Safety Harbor Florida and is only about 15 minutes from the Tampa airport. They offer all of the spa treatments you could want, and offer free classes throught the day in everything from spinning to water aerobics to spinning. It is located in a very cute little town with great shops and restaurants. Or it is simple to get to Tampa for some more adventurous activities. I go to alot of spas but always come back to safety harbor. I have gone there alone and with friends and always feel happy to be there.

There are some very nice day spas in Los Gatos, CA. It is about 1 hour south of San Francisco.

Hi Kathy – Definitely Scottsdale, AZ. Scottsdale is home to numerous resorts with great spa services. I have contacts at several of the large properties including Hyatt, Westin, Fairmont, Wild Horse Pass, and more where you can get a great spa package for a good deal with extra amenities. Another option if you want warmer than Wisconsin but not as warm as Arizona, would the area around Monterey, CA. There are some nice properties in that area who offer some good off season specials. Let me know if I can help you plan.
