Oil Free Hydrating Gel- from Mary Kay…….love it for the eye area. Can’t go without it. It is very emollient. I put in the morning and night….sometimes during the day I will put a few drops of water under the eye area lightly with my finger tips and it reactivates the moisturizer. I so like the idea of shea butter and olive oil. I used a product from Avon for the decolette area that had olive oil and it was great with the crepe skin but it was discontinued :(.

thank you so much for all your suggestions. I have been googling them all. I like the suggestion of tapping a bit of water under the eyes during the day. It feels so good.

Rodan Fields Anti-age Multi-function eye cream. Best I’ve ever used and I was in the skincare industry for 16 years, including owning a spa! https://skincaresolutions.myrandf.com/Shop/Anti-Age

Hands down…Rodan & Fields Anti age multi function eye cream. I store it in my refrigerator, apply at night. Results are phenomenal! It was a top selling skincare product line at Nordstroms before they chose different marketing method, now sell through independent reps. My daughter is now selling it and we love the entire offering for varying skin types.

Yes! Try Larenim’s Hyaluronic Acid Serum. I use it on BOTH my top and bottom eye lids. It will immediately lend a moist, dewey quality but with regular use, the very low molecular weight ha will plump and revitalize your skin. It will literally “plump” from within. 🙂

I have always been curious about your products. They sound wonderful. Your skin looks so good already I wondered if it could even help mine. I HAD to go to the beach everday as a kid and now I am paying the price. I dont like alot of make up just enough to neutralize the bit of red around my nose. Do you wear any kind of foundation at all?

I only wear foundation when I am on camera. Technical reasons.
I don’t like to see myself with “fake” looking skin or skin that is not honestly mine. My freckles, sun spots, broken blood vessels are mine and I don’t feel I need to hide them. Im human!
I also wanted to say that women are sold the idea they have to have 10 different moisturizers. One for the eye area, one for the face, another for the lips another for hands, and a different one for the body and another for cuticles and another for feet and then a whole other one for nighttime!!!
It is absurd. If your moisturizer is safe and effective it will work for every area of your body. I invite you to my website to read “details and videos” which you can click above each product on the Product page. http://www.boombycindyjoseph.com to find out more. Thanks so much for your interest!

    Hi Monika,
There are a lot of great under eye products to help keep the area moist and supple. I always recommend that we try to use the different products designed for different functions from the same product line. Within each product line, the different products such as moisturizer, night cream, eye cream, etc, are made to work in conjunction with each other for maximum benefits and results.
If you are currently using other products such as moisturizer, night cream, etc, from a specific line, I suggest checking into what they have available for under eye moisturizers or balms or even serums and check them out first. If you can’t find an under eye moisturizer there, then I would check out other options.
    Best of luck, Mary

    Hi Monika,
Try to choose an eyecream that specifically says ‘moisturizing’ or ‘rich’, but I find that whatever you choose, if you want to really pump-up that dewy, super moist feeling, a little bit of pure shea butter patted over your eyecream feels wonderful and is great for the skin.
I use the L’Occitane brand. They carry a tiny little travel size tin for around $10 that will last forever because you use just a super small amount. Use a spatula and remove about a rice grain size of product, Rub it between your 2 forefingers to warm it a bit, then tap, tap, tap, your fingers under your eyes to transfer the product. Don’t rub as it’s quite dense.
It’s very lasting throughout the day and shea butter is chemically almost identical to your skin’s natural sebum. It’s healing, is rich in anti-oxidants, and even offers some protection fron UVB rays. It is a completely bio-natural ingedient as it comes from the nut of a tree. Also, because it is so thick, unlike oils you might use around your eyes that can dissolve your make-up or creep into your eyes, blurring your vision, shea butter stays put.

This sounds like what I am looking for. Im going to try it. When you said it doesnt dissolve make up. I will try it under my make up today. Thank you soo much. Monika

I hope it works for you! I love it. Keep in mind that some water-based make-ups might not blend well over it … the whole oil-and-water-not-mixing thing.
Also, to make sure it doesn’t cause too much creasing, be sure to use only the tiniest amount.

It is hard to keep that area moist as we lack oil producing glands there which is why it is also the first to show the signs of aging. Whichever eye cream you choose pick one that just talks about moisture & not firming. All firming products make the area feel & look drier. Clinique’s All About Eyes Rich is very moisturizing, as is Avon’s Anew Genics for Eyes which should be applied generously am & pm. Also if you use an eye make up remover look for one with a little oil, my favorite is Lancome’s Bi-Facil which will not dry out the area but will actually help with the dryness as you remove your eye make up. Please contact me if I can answer any follow up question 🙂

Brian Champagne has a really wonderful eye cream that I like a lot. It keeps the undereye area, as well as the lids, moist. He is as brianchampagne.com and has a wonderful line.
Other than that, I have two techniques I use which are helpful. One is extra virgin olive oil. I apply it to my entire face and neck every time I cleanse my skin. EVOO has a cell size smaller than your blood cell, so it will penetrate the skin. I wipe any excess off with a washcloth or tissue.
It is also good to tap under your eyes for about thirty seconds a day. This will increase the circulation, and help keep away those dark circles that people tend to get.
    Good luck to you.

There are many good moisturizers out there that are specifically for the eye area. Because there are no oil glands around the eye, it’s essential that you moisturize the area twice a day.

I can recommend Avon’s Genics eye cream. This is good for all ages, and all skin types. It’s so rich it feels like it’ll melt on your finger when you take it out of the jar! An application in the morning and evening will make that area of your eye look better AND fight aging at the same time! And it’s moderately priced too! Check it out!

    Good luck! Chris
