Yes, Cubie131’s recommendation is definitely a win! I’ve used AVON’s Anew Clinical Luminosity Pro Brightening Hand Cream SPF 15 so much that I chose to spend $10 and sell….which actually at the beginning was more of a “membership” for the discount! People don’t believe I’m about to be 53! I thank AVON for providing great products at affordable prices….. Right now I’m using AVON’s ANEW Clinical Absolute Even Multi-tone skin corrector to keep the signs of menopause off of my face and hands! It’s great and sooo much cheaper than the Clinique product…. If anyone is interested…. You can order securely online from http://www.youravon.com/rosannamccoy or if you want a “membership” like me…just give me a call…. 917-426-7699. You can order as little or as much as you like….. it’s really easy…. All the best, Rosanna 🙂

L’Occitane is wonderful. I use it on my face and neck, as well as my hands. Strangers ask me about my beauty regimen. I have had no cosmetic fillers or other medical assistance. L’Occitane works.

I would try plain old vegetable shortening (if you can believe it!). Dr. Oz recommends this for aging/dry hands and it really works like a charm. It absorbs well, softens the skin and has barely a detectable scent. Easy, convenient and cheap ….gotta love it!

Anything with alpha hydroxy acids should make them look instantly smoother. It’s temporary, but I just use an inexpensive lotion (CVS “Healthy Hands”) so I can keep re-applying.

When you are cooking and get oil on your hands, rub it into your hands. Also rub it into your cuticles. The same goes, when you apply your face cream. But one of the best remedies for dry-old-looking hands with spots all over the place is any scrub that you would use. At least once a week, scrub the backs of your hands with any facial scrub, and within weeks you will see a positive difference. Good luck.

The name of the Aveeno product is Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion.

Avon has a great product. I use it everyday-it’s called Anew Clinical
Luminosity Pro Brightening Hand Cream SPF 15. It moisturizes, and brightens dark spots, as well as protects from further sun damage. If you use an at home chemical peel product for your face, you can use that on your hands as well, which will also help your hands look younger.

    Dear Lovely Lady,
Hands are tricky and that request isn’t as simple as it seems. There are a few issues that can create an aged look on hands. One is general dryness of the skin, which takes away from its plump, smooth look. For this, I recommend either Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Original Hand Cream used pretty much around the clock, after each hand washing, and before bed. Am-Lactin 5% cream (not lotion) contains lactic acid which may also help plump up the surface layers.
For brown spots, a fading cream containing kojic acid, hydroquinone 2%, or other skin lighteners may help a bit, but treatment with the “laser-like” intense pulsed light (IPL) device may be a big help in addition.
Finally, for general loss of volume between tendons, making hands look older, some doctors perform filler injections or fat transfer injections, but those are more invasive procedures that should be undertaken with much caution and research. Good luck to you!

Try an Avon or Aveeno hand lotion. both work well. Avon’s Rich Moisture Cream is really good .
