London-based beauty company Molton Brown is known for its fragrant hand and body washes; now its making a splash in the anti-aging market with a new body care collection (retail value $216) for FOFs. All the products in the collection are made from kopara, a rare ocean algae found exclusively on a coral island near Tahiti. Kopara produces exopolysaccharides to shield itself from UV rays. It can also do wonders for FOF skin, according to Molton Brown reps, who say that products formulated with this super-algae will “protect from age-accelerating pollutants, promote healthy-looking skin, and are clinically proven to reduce the signs of aging.” Sounds promising, but shall we sea for ourselves?

In the early 90s, he launched his first at-home product, the Alpha Beta Daily Face Peel, designed to bring his signature, skin perfecting formula to the rest of us. Since then, his skin empire has expanded to hundreds of products, but the Alpha Beta Peel is still his #1 best-seller. Now, he’s launched a new Extra Strength version (retail value: $88 for 30 applications), designed to help those women who haven’t responded to other peels.

The two-step peel comes in the form of two containers of pre-soaked towelettes (similar to makeup remover pads.) Step one contains a proprietary blend of five different acids, including Alpha and Beta Hydroxy that Dr. Dennis Gross promises will minimize the appearance of pores, wrinkles and fine lines, and leave you with firmer, brighter, more even skin. Step two contains retinol, natural antioxidants–such as Resveratrol and green tea extract–and Genistien, an ingredient in soy extract that boosts collagen production and also soothes the skin. Denise Cooper won’t give in to gravity. She is the FOF behind Bring It Up, a line of products designed to lift everything from your brows to your breasts. The Los Angeles salon owner was downright tired of listening to her clients complain about their double chins and turkey necks–so she created Instant Neck Lifts (retail price: $20 for a 30 day supply), which she claims can “instantly tighten and tone a sagging neckline”–sans surgery. The promises are well…promising. The “lifts” are small, transparent, waterproof, hypoallergenic adhesives that work by tightening the neck from behind your ears. Oh, and Cher uses them… but, shhh… we didn’t tell you that!
